Magnus Maximus, 383-388. Siliqua (Silver, 17 mm, 2.00 g, 12 h), Treveri. D N MAG MAX-IMVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Magnus Maximus to right. Rev. VIRTVS ROMANORVM / TRPS Roma seated front, head to left, holding globe in her right hand and long scepter in her left. RIC 84b. Nicely toned. Two minor flan cracks and with some corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket) and that of his father, Dr. Karl Blaschegg (1892-1951).
